Can I use 2x6's instead of 2x4's in order to make my trusses stronger?

You can use 2x6's to make your trusses stronger.

For the tall barn style gambrel shed plan trusses there will be no changes in the dimensions of either the trusses or the shed framing.

For the regular gable plan trusses you will need to make the wall studs 2 inches shorter so the siding will cover the ends of the trusses.

For the deluxe gable shed plan trusses you will need to adjust shorten length of the upright supports by about 2 inches. But this will be a cut to fit situation. You will also have to use 2 inch taller bird boards.

For the lean-to style shed plan trusses your changes will depend on the type of overhang you select. If your trusses extend over the top plate then there will be no adjustment to the wall height. You will just need to make taller bird boards. If your trusses don't extend past the sheeting then you will have to make the wall studs 2 inches shorter to allow the sheeting to cover the ends of the trusses.
