The blueprints are full size and what the building departments are used to working with. In fact they are the same plans I have been using in my shed and garage building business for the past 25 years.
The personnel are used to working with homeowners so if you haven't filled the plans out to their requirements they will simply tell you the modifications they want to see, you make them, then resubmit them. The people working there are an excellent source of information. Just be patient when you're there and expect to make a few mistakes.
