Bought the plans - seme decent.
Had a few questions (some related to plan and some not). Here goes.

PLan Related
1) The materials list specifies both hardboard siding AND no groove siding. Which is for what ? Dont see that specificed.
The No Grovve Siding is marled as [E] which correlated with ROOF - but the roof is shingle - so ... *shrug*

Non Plan related
1) Anyone ever use single single cemnet board like this ? I can get some cheap so was wondering. https://www.gaf.com/en-us/products/weatherside-profile-fiber-cement-siding.
2) How accurate are you finding the plans on materials list ?
3) Anyone using a wrap around the home like Tyvek Homewrap befor applying siding.

thx

Thanks.
Im really stuck on weather to go ahead with a wood build or to do a versatube metal DIY shed.
Some guys who are quite knowledgeable on larger farm projects say they have built many sheds but wouldnt touch trusses. Better to buy than risk a failure point there. BUt all the truss builders here are so backed up that 1) prices are really high ... but 2) and more importantly - they are 2-3 months out in supply.

I haven't noticed any shortages by using the described materials list. I use the siding they recommended and yes the groove is for the walls and the non Groove is for trim soffits Etc. Yes I used house wrap and I applied it over the studs I then added half inch hard foam for the siding too but that's another thing.

Hey guys/all

Trusses - how did you feel making your own trusses on a larger shed (if you did) - larger being over say 10ft wide.
Quote for trusses was ;like $2500 alone ..... versus entire framing and truss (wood) quote of DIY of $1400

Made my trusses for 16 x 32 shed plus added a 4’ porch overhang. 28 trusses in total but have not installed on building yet. I increased the size of the osb bracing to 8” by 20”. The jig laid out in the plans worked perfectly. Took a few days, but I’m old and slow..

Thx - yes mine will be 16 wide trusses (16*24) .........
Just had a number of people say really should just go with engineered trusses not DIY.
For me its just a workshop - so not too worried - but thought I'd check out on the DIY forum here so thanks

I have a shed mfg in my area and they use this exact truss setup most on 24” centers.. I’m installing mine on 16” centers just like the walls.
