14 for 12?

Hello,

I am planning a 12x24 gambrel shed. Unfortunately the plans go from 12x20 to 14x24.

What is the best way to adapt materials list, cut lists, plans to make this happen? Is there a structural reason that it should not be 12x24?

Thank you

You can combine plans and materials lists to get what you want. The only reason I didn't include a 12x24 is because I had to make the cut off somewhere. You can make any length. I just gave dimensions for the most popular.

On the barn shed plans- pg68.... what is the letter "C" wood for? On the 14x24 it calls for 50- 2x4x12s and 13 -2x4x14s.
In trying to adapt the plans for a 12x24 I need to know what each thing is for (wall studs, trusses, joists, etc) so that I can make materials adjustments but I'm am having a hard time figuring what these boards are for.
Is there a place I've missed that explains what each is for?

Help?

"C" in the left column references C in the table 1 notes on the next page.

Did you download a detailed materials list found at the link on page 1 of the plans? The detailed materials list tells you what you need to build each section of the shed. This should be the detail you are looking for. You can download one for various sizes and mix and match the parts to get the size shed you want.
